It also addresses how conductors are identified.

The requirements separate:

🔹 Grounded conductors
🔹 Equipment grounding conductors
🔹 Ungrounded conductors

And the rules change depending on the system.

For the grounded conductor:

265.5(A) → 200.7

For the equipment grounding conductor:

265.5(B) → 250.119

For ungrounded conductors:

265.5(C) gives us additional requirements.
